After a client asked to see the different in retouched images versus non retouched, I thought I would post this. Professional photographers must be very good at making the photos more attractive and getting to know their clients to see what is important to them (what areas of their body they are sensitive about. Sometimes I slenderize a client a bit or remove wrinkles. I have often moved heads from one photo to another, add a person who was not in the session or who came late,
It has taken me over 25 years of Photoshop experience to retouch effectively and make a subject a bit more attractive. And the artful tinting and toning of images takes it a step farther. Taking a good photo is one thing but enhancing it is the other half of the Pro in professional. It takes hours of post processing after each session to convert each shot from RAW to a format that can be viewed and printed from, and enhance each image…and then more time preparing and uploading all of the images to a proofing site.
