Family portraits in a garden paying attention to individual portraits of children

Many family portraits are done in a park or garden setting. I spend most of my time doing individual portraits of each person in the family...trying to get their personalities to shine through. Children are the most challenging and there are times when I must nicely remind the parents to hold back and let me gain their trust. Fortunately, over the years, I have created a great spot in my back yard with stone benches, ivey and bushes, sometimes flowers, antique doors and greek columns. I positioned the props in places that work with the light perfectly at certain times of the day.
