Casual Family portrait on Beach

Always trying to show a family in their best light is one of my goals as a professional photographer. The Suhrer family wanted a fun beach portrait where the family and their cousins who had flown in from other states that morning offered a challenge since they were salty and wet from enjoying the beach most of the day. Another challenge was the day was overcast and rainy but when I arrived, we had a half hour or so of filtered sun (which is flatter light) but no squinting. Yeah! We were so lucky since the lightening and clouds started coming back just as I was finishing. I concentrated on the love and fun that the family was having and did more fun poses and shooting fast to capture natural smiles.
